Mr. Davis' tech students primed the bookshelves today.
Woo Hoo! Mrs. Ehringhaus' creative writing students shelved the many non-fiction books that were scattered on the floor, tables, and just randomly placed around the room. It's starting to look like a Media Center again, and not a tag sale. I can't wait for Mr. Davis' students to come back tomorrow to prime the shelves. This is so exciting.
The students found more wet books as they moved the fiction books to the side to obtain access to the bookshelves. This was the first official day of our makeover---sanding the bookshelves!!!!!
Despite the 400 gallons of water that came out of the air-conditioner, only 345 books were water damaged! Things are looking up. Can't wait for Mr. Davis' students to come to the Media Center tomorrow to take, and sand the shelves.
I couldn't sleep last night in anticipation of todays horror movie-"Attack of the air-conditioner part II." It's going to be a long day!
